We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Lee Shau Kee, GBM, a cherished supporter of the UWC Movement in Hong Kong.
Dr. Lee's extraordinary generosity and visionary leadership have left an indelible mark on LPCUWC, epitomized by the remarkable HK$50 million donation from the Lee Shau Kee Foundation in 2018. This transformative contribution facilitated the establishment of the Lee Shau Kee Peace Education Centre, which serves as a guiding light for our College’s mission to promote peace, sustainability, and intercultural understanding. Additionally, Dr. Lee played a vital role in the development of the Amphitheatre and the Enlightenment Centre, both of which enhance our campus and enrich the educational experiences of our students.
Since the completion of these facilities, thousands of students from over 90 nationalities and diverse backgrounds have been empowered to engage in peacebuilding and sustainability initiatives within a low-carbon, healthy, and innovative educational framework.
We are deeply honored and profoundly inspired by Dr. Lee’s unwavering commitment to education and the betterment of society.
